RFID: The Manager’s Perspective™

This one-day course provides a basic overview of RFID technology for those who want to understand the language, concepts and mandates involved with RFID technology, but do not have direct responsibility for implementation. Geared toward the "Manager," considerable time is spent on business process, change management and ROI calculation examples. Limited hands-on exercises are conducted, including the set up and configuring of RFID readers, antennas and printers.   

A System’s Approach to RFID Implementation™

This intensive three-day course is taught at the most advanced RFID testing centers across the country and is designed to give attendees the necessary background to implement an RFID system: Knowledge of RF communication; RFID hardware functions; installation and configuration, including interrogators, antennas, printers/encoders and other ancillary devices; RFID tags; connectivity and networking; and automatic data collection technologies. Hands-on exercises are conducted throughout the course and culminate with a half-day set of extensive lab exercises, including product tagging on a conveyor belt with speeds of up to 600 ft/m.  

A prior understanding of networking basics, serial communication, engineering concepts, bar code technology and business process analysis would benefit students.

System's Approach with RFID+™ Certification Module

This four-day course includes an add-on module to A System’s Approach to RFID Implementation™ designed to give students a command of the RFID knowledge that is needed to successfully pass the RFID+™ Certification Exam, including detailed training on specific exam topics. The module includes additional hours of certification training daily AND a full day dedicated to review of all exam topics featuring our popular Exam Cram session. At the conclusion of the course, the CompTIA® RFID+™ certification exam will be administered on-site by OTA and you will know your results instantly!
