The Motorola NG156 Netopia® VDSL2 802.11n Wi-Fi® Gateway is designed for delivery of triple play services over ultra-broadband networks.

The NG156 delivers ultra-fast high-speed broadband VDSL2 over a single copper pair in the ‘first mile’ from the subscriber’s home to the fiber node—perfect for the single-PC residential user who needs high performance connectivity with fast data transmission. It is also ideal for FTTN applications. It supports full-featured, high-bandwidth home networking for the sophisticated consumer—utilizing the most advanced 802.11n Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet technology.

The NG156 is designed to handle demanding IP-based services, including IPTV and VoIP as well as Standard-Definition and High-Definition TV. It features Motorola’s legendary ease of use, reliability and security. Furthermore it offers automated provisioning capabilities—on the first connection to the network, the NG156 gateway can be configured to automatically “phone home” to the service provider; enabling automated service provisioning, embedded software updates, and service activation–all without subscriber intervention. For installations that are not configured for automated provisioning, the NG156 comes with an intuitive installation wizard to guide subscribers through an easy to use setup process.
