Thermal Transfer Labels

Lowry offers an extensive selection of thermal transfer label and tag materials in paper and synthetic facestocks, with a wide variety of topcoat, adhesive and liner options. Common uses are for product labels, barcode labels, location labels, and asset labels.  Thermal transfer printing involves a printhead that applies heat to a specially formulated ribbon that transfers ink to the label face, producing durable, long-lasting images on a wide variety of materials. 

Direct Thermal Labels

Lowry produces direct thermal label and tag materials in both paper and synthetic facestocks, with a wide variety of topcoat, adhesive and liner options.  Direct thermal barcode labels are used across many markets including transport and logistics, manufacturing, food and healthcare.   Direct thermal printing uses a printhead to apply heat to a thermal-reactive substrate (paper, film, etc...) to produce a dark, crisp image; no ribbon is required.   Direct thermal media is more sensitive to light, heat and abrasion, which reduces the life of the printed material, making it most suitable for short-term labeling applications.   

Stock Labels  

Look to Lowry for immediate shipment on stock label items.  There are three product levels to Lowry's stock barcode label program, blank labels, blank label kits that include ribbons, and RFID labels.   

• The stock blanks are offered in a variety of sizes and materials, thermal transfer paper, direct thermal paper and gloss white polyester.   
• Label kits are thermal transfer paper and include coated side out wax ribbons.   
• Stocked RFID labels are thermal transfer paper with a standard permanent acrylic adhesive and the inlay selection will accommodate various RFID printers.
