Thermal transfer (TT) labels and tags require a ribbon to print. Labels are divided into two main categories: paper and film (or poly material).

• TT paper labels - coated paper stock available in white/blank, fluorescent red, orange and lime green. Labels can be flood-coated or preprinted.
• TT high gloss and semi-gloss labels - attractive, multi-purpose material only slightly more expensive than standard thermal transfer material. Labels are available in white/blank and can be flood-coated or preprinted.

Piggyback labels (high-gloss material): A double-layer label is popular in specialty applications such as direct mail, when a label must be adhered for use in a second mailing. It’s also used for special applications when the label must adhere twice. This label is available in white/blank or preprinted. Price is per thousand with a minimum purchase of one case.

Ribbons

Lowry Labeling offers several types of TT ribbons. TT ribbon allows for great flexibility in label design, printing and choice of label material. All of our ribbons are specially formulated to run at lower temperatures, thereby extending the life of the thermal printhead. Our ribbons produce images of superior clarity with exceptional durability. Ribbons are available in a variety of colors and finishes:

• Premium wax - our most popular and economic alternative, used primarily
  for paper labels
• Resin-enhanced wax - ideal for flood-coated and high-gloss label printing,
  and when smudge-resistance is critical
• Resin/wax - a smudge-resistant label that is ideal for an outdoor environment
  or for shrink-wrap applications
